Nora Hackmann, MBA

Co-founder & CEO

Prior to starting Kenji Health, Nora led product strategy for new consumers apps at Meta (fka Facebook). There she had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most successful consumer tech founders and leaders in artificial intelligence.

She also advised the world’s largest health care organizations when at Boston Consulting so has a pretty good grasp on business models across patients, providers, payors, and pharma.

She received a Yale MBA focused on social enterprise and a MSc of Economics focused on psychology and econometrics from University of Mannheim, Germany.

Nora and Martin live in Santa Monica, California with their two young, very energetic boys.

Dr. Martin Hackmann, PhD

Co-founder & CTO / Chief Science Officer

Martin has dedicated his academic career to studying the health care system. For that he applies complex economic models and machine learning methodologies.

So it wasn’t much of a surprise that he took the 100 days of Python course in 3 days to build the first prototype for Kenji.

He is a Professor at UCLA, affiliated with National Bureau of Economic Research, CESif and the California Center for Population Research at UCLA. His research on the Affordable Care Act was recognized by NIHCM and featured on Bloomberg and Freakonomics.

He received a Yale PhD, MSc, MA in Economics and another MSc in Economics from University of Mannheim, Germany.
